We are now accepting EDHS PTSA Scholarship Applications!

 

Please pick up application in the student services office.

 

Deadline is Friday, April 3, 2015 by 3:30p.m.

 

Scholarships are for $250.00.

El Diamante High School PTSA Senior Scholarship Criterion 2014-2015

 

          1.  Must be a current PTSA (Parent Teacher Student Association) member.

          2.  GPA of at least 2.5

          3.  Plan to attend a two of four year college in the fall of 2015.

          4.  Must submit proof of college acceptance, if awarded the scholarship.

          5.  DEADLINE:  Friday, April 3, 2015, by 3:30p.m.

Information Alert January 9, 2015 Governor releases 2015-16 budget proposal Today, Gov. Jerry Brown released his 2015-16 budget proposal. Read the full summary of the Governor’s Budget Proposal. California State PTA is pleased to see that education is a priority in the Governor’s budget proposal. We have consistently advocated for increased education funding and this proposal helps advance that objective. California’s economy is recovering and with this budget we're on the road back to restoring past budget cuts to schools -- though there are many miles to go until California fully invests in all students at the level they need and deserve to be successful. We’re also pleased substantial additional funding is being proposed to support the smooth implementation of the new Common Core State Standards. There are many other aspects of the budget proposal that we will be analyzing in the coming weeks. For instance, PTA recognizes that many factors such as health have a significant impact on student achievement. The El Diamante PTSA Board would like to thank everyone who kindly donated food, time, and money to help feed over 100 families for our El Diamante Community this past holiday.  The families were very thankful and wanted to pass on their thank you as well.

 

 

 

 

 

 

EDHS PTSA Pledge Drive and Holiday Dinner Program

El Diamante High School PTSA needs your support now more than ever.

The holidays will soon be here and PTSA plays a valuable role in providing support to our high school community.  Each year we seek monetary support for our annual Pledge Drive and Holiday Dinner Program.

We are asking El Diamante families and alumni for monetary donations to support our Pledge Drive and Holiday Dinner Program.

The PTSA goal is to donate Holiday Meals to 100 families from our El Diamante High School community.  EDHS PTSA has been distributing well-balanced holiday meals to El Diamante families with limited resources since 2004. 

We ask that you kindly help and donate what you can to help our El Diamante families.

Your tax-deductible donation will also help support the Senior Scholarship Fund, Teacher Appreciation Luncheon, and assist in building a united and caring school community.

2014-2015 National PTA Reflections Theme

Reflections

The PTA Reflections Program is an arts recognition and achievement program for students.  The Reflections Program provides opportunities for students to express themselves creatively and to receive positive recognition for original works of art inspired by a preselected theme, while increasing community awareness of the importance of the arts in education.

We encourage parents, teachers, staff and students to join!

 

Just $10.00 per parent/guardian/teacher/staff, and only $5.00 per student for the 2014/2015 school year.

 

You will receive a year membership from July 1, 2014 to June 30, 2015 to El Diamante PTSA, State PTA, and National PTA.  You will receive many membership perks from California State PTA such as Legoland, California Academy of Sciences, Aquarium of the Pacific, and Enterprise car rentals.

I know not all of us have the time.  I can understand that.  However, it is your interest that counts.  If you are unable to support the PTSA with time, would you at least consider giving your financial support so that all the people working in the PTSA know that you too are with us.  You will have the satisfaction of knowing your money is helping, as we develop programs and activities that benefit not only your student(s) but all children and youth.

PTSA membership forms are available in the Finance office.

You may also drop off your dues at the Finance office.

PTSA meetings are held on the first Monday of each month at noon in the career center.

PTSA Recycling Program

We are now part of a recycling program that doubles as a fund-raiser for the PTSA! It's SO SIMPLE. We will take ANY used or un-used ink cartridge (includes toner cartridges) and ANY cell phone for recycling. Drop them off at El Diamante, or have your students take them to room 701. We will take care of the rest. Thanks for helping out.
